About Eddie

Professionally, Eddie is an attorney with a deep commitment to public service and a diverse professional background.  With expertise in government procurement, supplier diversity, and estate planning, Eddie has dedicated his career to ensuring fairness and accountability in the public sector.

As the former Director of the Cook County Office of Contract Compliance, Eddie oversaw the County’s Minority- and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (MBE/WBE) programs, helping to create opportunities for small businesses and ensuring equitable access to government contracts. His legal experience spans both criminal prosecution, where he represented victims of crime, and defense, where he advocated for individuals accused of crimes—giving him a broad and empathic perspective on justice and community safety.

Eddie is also deeply invested in financial transparency and public policy. He serves on the board of directors for the Center for Tax and Budget Accountability, an organization dedicated to promoting social and economic justice through policy research and advocacy.

Outside of his professional life, Eddie is an active volunteer. He supports the mission of the Mankind Project, a global organization that encourages men to lead lives of integrity and service. Closer to home, he volunteers with the Fairview South PTA, helping to create a positive educational environment for all children in the community.

Eddie is proud to call Skokie his home, where he lives with his wife Maggie, a psychotherapist and entrepreneur, and their two daughters, who attend Fairview South. He is committed to working for a better Skokie, with a focus on community safety, economic opportunity, and building a stronger, more inclusive Skokie.
